The UK’s equivalent of USAID is the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
We built a searchable database of its spending. After it went live, the FCDO stopped publishing regular data! This happened just as UK Column started to track where the money was going and which NGOs were receiving it.
More than two years and 'a few' FOI requests later, the FCDO has finally released updated data. As with the MHRA’s Covid‑19 Yellow Card data, it’s buried in a format that makes it hard for the public to read and understand.
We’ve now updated our site with the new data! You can now search the FCDO records easily here:
This is your money. It’s vital that you can see where it goes. We encourage you to use the site, review the data and ask questions. Put in your own FOI requests. Press for answers. This is about accountability, and it depends on all of us.

this is really sloppy
the CoE does not have any legislative powers. it’s essentially an organisation set up to herd europe into the same structure as the united nations back in 1949
yet, it writes the treaties which were progrssively passed, while everyone focused on the EU and EEC before it

While the US Senate was rooting out communists from public life in 1948, Britain’s governing Labour Party was having Marx’ manifesto republished with a miratory preface by its former chairman, the Stalinist LSE professor Harold Laski.
“Abolition of private property in land has long been a demand of the Labour movement. A heavy progressive income tax is being enforced by the present Labour government as a means of achieving social justice. We have gone far towards abolition of the right of inheritance by our heavy death duties. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State is partially attained in the Bank of England Act and other measures […] We have declared the equal obligation of all to work.”

Sometimes, I want. give up.. What the hell is even this!? Not just the 'reporter'.. The story.. We are going to war because of 'the boat people'? Quote from NATO: "That’s exactly why Nato is now treating border protection as a core part of collective defence"
Why isn't 100% of people seeing this as madness?

“Polygon is a hedge fund. It would appear likely from the register to be either Polygon or Griffith’s umbrella hedge fund Tetragon that owns these liveried RAF aircraft. We have therefore simply no idea who the investors are: it could be anyone from BlackRock to Kim Jong Un. The true ownership is deliberately shrouded in secrecy.
This spaghetti tangle of ownership of RAF aircraft is rather surprising to those of us who naively believed that RAF military aircraft belonged to the RAF, and that the hundreds of billions of pounds the state lavishes on “defence” was used to do things like buy military jets, rather than make rich financiers still richer.
The long tree of subsidiary companies is not only to disguise ownership. At every single stage it provides opportunity for tax avoidance and for other forms of corruption, like consultancy contracts or directorships handed out to the contacts or nominated go-betweens of the politicians and senior civil servants. If you saw a company called Pace Bidco Ltd were giving a remunerative consultancy to the son of an ex-government minister, or to a firm registered to his local landlord, why would that ring alarm bells or connect to the RAF?”

Dystopia UK: Genocidal RAF Squadron Targeted by Palestine Action is Owned by a Hedge Fund
If you thought RAF jets were owned by the RAF, think again. The RAF squadron targeted for a repaint by Palestine Action due to its involvement in supplying Israel's genocide, does not in fact belon

Latest article on mental capacity, the importance of this area, and how capacity is assessed.
Many people have contacted me asking about this issue with respect to capacity under the Assisted Dying Bill. However, whilst I have touched on this in the article, I have written it from a capacity issue more generally, as I think this will be invaluable to people, given what may be to come in the future.
I mention the MCA Code of Practice in the article, and I have provided a link to it. I think everyone should have a copy of this document and I am sure that many people will find it helpful, particularly if they are grappling with a vulnerable relative with medical or care issues. People will notice if they read the code, just how much the law was broken in the area around best interests during the Convid period. Yet no one has been held to account.
Given how such principles were abandoned with glee during Convid, I have zero belief that assisted suicide could ever be delivered safely, and I KNOW that there are not enough medical professionals with enough time to properly assess anyone's mental capacity for assisted death. My belief is that they will actually end up getting lawyers to do the capacity assessments as they already perform these routinely with clients. They will of course be paid a fee if so, and it will become a lucrative form of work for them, which is gross. We shall have to see if I am right about this in the future.
Anyway I digress - hope the article helps anyone dealing with the issues touched on:
