Chesterton: "Most people say that they agree with Bernard Shaw or that they do not understand him. I am the only person who understands him, and I do not agree with him."

This was a couple of years ago; I just discovered it. Both interviewer and interviewee are friends of friends.
It’s worth careful consideration and I’d urge conservative listeners not to get hung up on the contemporary psycholanguage used but to consider whether the pair of them have done a good job interpreting the New Testament marital passages.
I was convinced by Verity Hunt’s case, which boils down to her phrase “Abuse is abandonment” [and hence Christian grounds for divorce].
Of course, there are frequent spurious and convenience-based claims of spousal abuse nowadays, but both interviewer and interviewee show themselves to be fully aware of that.

Fill up the vast desires of man.

Superb commentary on invading Iran from a former staff officer. Learn about the hard problems of moving an army across the world, then into a country, what you have to bring with you and, crucially, how boringly predictable warfare is when done by professionals.
