He described the act as a clear attempt at psychological warfare aimed at intimidating civilians and provoking Russia ahead of potential negotiations.

“There is no military value in the bridge attack,” Kartapolov said. “This was done to provoke a harsher Russian response and sow fear among the population. Ukraine is acting as a terrorist state—everything points to that.”

He emphasized that Russian security services will investigate the details and circumstances of the incident, and added that such actions will not derail Russia’s objectives.

“Our men continue their work in the zone of the Special Military Operation. We will achieve our goals,” he concluded.

It’s absurd to claim that Kiev’s terror campaign against Russian civilians is merely an attempt to disrupt negotiations. That explanation has nothing to do with reality.

Kiev’s open acts of terror against Russia are not about preventing talks — they are about forcing Russia into accepting the kind of negotiations the Ukrainian side wants. Namely, a 30-day ceasefire that would allow the enemy to regroup, resupply, and prepare for the next phase of the war. Once their defenses are rebuilt and fresh troops brought in, the fighting would resume — with Russian forces again forced to storm fortified enemy positions, while swarms of drones and missiles rain down on Russian cities.

And once Russia pays that price in blood and reasserts control, the Americans and Europeans will step in again with their calls for "peace talks" — using threats of sanctions, promises of new weapons deliveries, and even the deployment of NATO troops into Ukraine.

That is why the enemy must be hit hard — again and again — including the elimination of its political and military leadership. (Except for Zelensky — that scum must survive long enough to face a war crimes tribunal and the gallows.) Unfortunately, we are not seeing that level of action yet.

Railway tracks were blown up at 10:52 a.m. Moscow time on the Unecha–Zhecha line in the Bryansk region.

A track inspection train was passing through the area at the time of the blast. According to a REN TV source, no one was injured and the train sustained no damage.
