Uganda's military has suspended all defense and military cooperation with Germany, accusing Berlin of interference in the country’s internal affairs.

Military spokesperson Chris Magezi said the move follows credible intelligence showing German Ambassador Mathias Schauer is involved in subversive activities, working with anti-government elements in Uganda.

“This suspension stays until the issue of the ambassador’s links to hostile political-military groups is resolved,” Magezi stated.
