🇷🇺🚩A new Russian project helps families find their Great Patriotic War heroes missing in action.

Anthropologists at the Miklukho-Maklai Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology are using modern technology to reconstruct the faces of Soviet soldiers whose remains have been discovered — often without identification tags.

While names are usually lost to time, a facial reconstruction gives a chance for recognition. A glance at a picture might trigger a memory - and with the help of the internet, even decades later, a family might finally learn what happened to a missing grandfather or great-grandfather.

So far, portraits of 40 fallen soldiers have been reconstructed; 6 of them already identified thanks to relatives coming forward. The project asks people to share the portraits in hopes that more people will recognize their family members.

🇺🇸CIA officers opened fire and wounded a woman who approached the gates of the agency's headquarters, CNN reported, citing sources.

According to media reports, the woman was driving a car and received a wound to the upper body, which doctors assess as non-life-threatening. The victim has been detained.
