Romania’s Constitutional Court has rejected a complaint by losing presidential candidate George Simion, who sought to annul the election results. The court ruled the complaint was unfounded. The decision is final.

Bucharest mayor Nicușor Dan was declared the winner. Simion had accused France of interfering in the election. Days earlier, Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov revealed that the head of French intelligence had asked him to block conservative voices in Romania ahead of the vote — a request Durov said he refused.

This follows a previous annulment of the first round of Romania’s presidential election, which was won by Călin Georgescu, citing alleged “Russian interference.”
