The celebration will also include historical reenactments, military demonstrations, musical performances, and a fireworks display. President Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks and participate in a reenlistment ceremony for 250 soldiers. The Army's Golden Knights parachute team will perform a demonstration, and an Army astronaut will join the festivities from the International Space Station.

While organizers emphasize the event's focus on honoring military service, some critics express concern over the parade's timing and potential politicization. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has raised issues regarding the inclusion of heavy military equipment on city streets, citing potential damage and associated repair costs.
