🇾🇪🤜🇺🇸 U.S. Carrier Strike Group Truman Leaves Yemeni Waters After Truce with Ansar Allah

The 8th U.S. Navy Carrier Strike Group Harry S. Truman has departed the waters off Yemen, transited the Suez Canal, and is now sailing through the Ionian Sea.

The group exited the Gulf of Aden following a ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Ansar Allah, after it became clear that continued airstrikes were ineffective. The decision came after the U.S. lost three F/A-18 fighter jets and numerous MQ-9 "Reaper" drones during operations in the region.

🇷🇺 The Reconstructed Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich

The wooden palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich was the centerpiece of the royal estate in Kolomenskoye during the 17th–18th centuries. Known to contemporaries as the “eighth wonder of the world,” it stood for nearly 100 years before being dismantled by order of Catherine the Great due to decay.

In 2010, the palace was carefully reconstructed based on original plans and measurements. To preserve the historical layout of the State Courtyard complex, the new structure was built in the southern part of the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve.

The reconstruction took three years (2007–2010) and involved over 200 specialists in 20 trades — including wood and ceramic artists, gilders, upholsterers, drapers, and gold embroiderers. Their combined work brought this piece of Russian architectural heritage back to life with care and attention to detail.
