Sergey Lavrov wrote about this in his article for Cuban media, “Russia and Cuba: Brotherhood Through the Years and Across Distances,” on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the restoration of Russian-Cuban diplomatic relations.

"We and our Cuban friends have a common position on the overwhelming majority of issues on the global agenda. We support the World majority's focus on forming a more just multipolar world order that takes into account the interests of all states without exception, including medium and small ones," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.

In addition, Lavrov noted that the Russian Federation is working together with Cuba on the topic of combating neocolonial practices. He said that he expects to continue interactions with colleagues from Havana.

He added that both sides reject illegal unilateral sanctions that hit the most vulnerable people and are contrary to international law.
