📝Turks Recall Reservists📝


From May 5 to June 4, Turkey will hold the "Yıldırım-2025/2" exercise as part of testing mobilization plans and training with air force reservists. This is the second stage of this event - the first was held from April 8 to 18.

▪️The training will involve 19 military infrastructure facilities in various parts of the country, including local air bases. The exercise will involve operational groups of the Turkish General Staff, the mobilization department, and the air force headquarters. In total, up to 2,000 military personnel (including reservists) and 20 aircraft will be involved.

▪️Holding such an exercise just two weeks after the first stage looks very curious, if we recall the current situation to the south of Turkey. The Syrian government has not yet reached a consensus with the Kurds, there are occasional conflicts with the Druze, and Israel is actively calling for war against Syria.

▪️According to Arab media reports, the Turks even sent their aircraft to central Syria during the latest massive Israeli air strikes. However, according to our sources, Turkish Air Force fighters were not spotted in that area, only drones - and only in northern Syria.

🖍The nature of the exercise is also indicative: emergency restoration of runways, deployment of personnel and equipment reception points, call-up of citizens from the reserve, and so on.

It is clear that for any army in the world, such training is necessary at least once a year to monitor the readiness of the personnel reserve, but the Turks have intensified the training of their reservists, which against the background of the permanent tension in Syria may indicate more significant Turkish preparations.
