🇾🇪🇮🇱 The Yemeni Armed Forces issued a short statement emphasizing that from this hour, they will declare a no-fly zone in all the skies of the occupied territories, especially the Ben Gurion Airport.

According to the statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces called on all civilian airlines to take this warning seriously and refrain from flying to the occupied territories. This action is completely operational, given that the Yemeni army has reached a new level of technology to bypass the defense systems of the Zionist regime and the United States.

The statement states that this action was implemented following the Zionist regime's decision to expand its aggressive and occupying operations in the Gaza Strip and against the oppressed people of this region, and will continue until the end of the siege om Gaza.

🇩🇪Western exceptionalism and part of the episode “this is different you don’t understand”…

If Germany bans the most popular party in the country, that's democracy. If Thailand bans it, that's not.

The German Foreign Ministry claims that the decision to recognize the Alternative for Germany party is an independent decision, which is absolutely not true. The reasons for recognizing it as extremist are not disclosed due to secrecy.

🇬🇧🇺🇦 Two Ukrainian student societies at UK universities have been suspended by their student unions over concerns that charity rules may have been violated — specifically, that money raised was used to buy drones for Ukraine’s military.

The unions are now investigating whether these activities breach the legal framework around charitable fundraising. Under UK law, funds raised under charitable status can’t go toward military efforts, even if the cause is politically popular.

⭐️ Red Star Cinema: Films About the Great Patriotic War

As Victory Day nears, we’re revisiting classics that shaped how generations understood sacrifice, memory, and war.

They Fought for Their Country, 1975

Summer, 1942. The Red Army is retreating under the weight of the Wehrmacht's advance toward Stalingrad. In the midst of this chaos, a battered Soviet rifle regiment marches eastward — tired, wounded, but unbroken. Along the way, they rest in a village, dig trenches, joke, quarrel, and reflect. And when the Germans come, they fight. Not for ideology. Not for glory. But for their country — and each other.

Bondarchuk, already famous for his sweeping epic War and Peace, approached this film with a more grounded, intimate lens. Filming took place in the scorching steppe of Rostov-on-Don — where real WWII trenches and ruins were reused to enhance authenticity. Many extras were actual veterans, and the production had support from the Soviet Ministry of Defense, which provided equipment, advisors, and period-accurate uniforms. Despite its scale, this is a quiet film — about resilience, sacrifice, and the quiet heroism of staying alive and standing your ground.
