๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ชThe landlocked countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger have endorsed an initiative by Morocco to give them access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The foreign ministers of the three AES nations shared their countries positions during a meeting Monday with King Mohammed VI in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, according to a ministry statement.
The three-nation block of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger announced last year that they were leaving the regional bloc known as ECOWAS. They then created their own security partnership, known as the Alliance of Sahel States, severed military ties with Western countries such as U.S. and France, and turned to Russia for military support.

In December 2023, Morocco announced a trade initiative to facilitate Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger's access to the Atlantic Ocean using Moroccan ports after ECOWAS imposed trade restrictions on the the three countries.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บStatements by Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya:

โžก๏ธRussia and the DPRK acted in full compliance with international law when liberating Russian territory.

โžก๏ธKiev, realizing its inevitable defeat, is increasingly sliding towards terrorist methods.

โžก๏ธZelensky is interested in concealing the crimes his regime has committed, therefore he irresponsibly rejects the US peace proposals.

โžก๏ธRussia is ready for direct negotiations with Kiev, despite problems with Zelensky's legitimacy.

โžก๏ธRussia expects the West to stop arming Kiev and convince Zelensky of the need to enter into a constructive dialogue.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆThe "Coalition of the willing" is not looking so willing anymore.

Europe would struggle to collectively muster 25,000 troops to be part of a โ€œdeterrenceโ€ force in Ukraine because its armies are undermanned and underfunded, sources have disclosed.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the British chief of the defence staff, is said to have asked his counterparts on the Continent if they could put together a 64,000-strong force to send to the country in the event of a peace deal.

Defence ministers across Europe said there was โ€œno chanceโ€ they could reach that number and that even 25,000 would โ€œbe a push for a joint effortโ€, a source familiar with discussions in Brussels said.

Close allies made their doubts clear to John Healey, the defence secretary, and pointed out that a force of that size would require a total of 256,000 troops on the ground over two years, accounting for rotations.

Dovile Sakaliene, Lithuaniaโ€™s defence minister, was said to have told her counterparts: โ€œRussia has 800,000 [troops]. Let me tell you this, if we canโ€™t even raise 64,000 that doesnโ€™t look weak โ€” it is weak.โ€

Estonia and Finland were reportedly concerned that any deployment would โ€œdiluteโ€ their own border defences, and Poland, Spain and Italy made clear they will not commit any soldiers, according to the source.

Finland and Germany were also generally against sending ground forces, although it is understood Berlin has not completely ruled out such a move.
