Belarus will host the Russian “Oreshnik” missile system by the end of the year, according to Alexander Volfovich, Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council. “Work is underway. Ukrainian and Western officials claim it’s a bluff or doesn’t exist—let them keep living in denial,” Volfovich said.

Earlier, Ukrainian military intelligence head Oleg Ivashchenko dismissed the reports, claiming there are no “Oreshnik” systems in Belarus and doubting any will arrive.

“Lukashenko says they’ll have ‘Oreshnik’ by year’s end. That’s just wishful thinking. Nothing like that is there now, and it’s unlikely to appear,” he stated.
