🇪🇪 On May 9th—Victory Day—authorities in Narva, Estonia, decided to stage a stunt. They hung a massive banner on the medieval castle facing Russia, merging images of Putin and Hitler in a crude attempt at propaganda.
But nature intervened: the wind twisted the banner into the shape of the letter Z—the very symbol they sought to mock.
While Estonian officials worked to erase any trace of Victory Day, the people of Narva had other plans. As is now tradition, locals gathered along the riverbank to watch the Victory Parade broadcast from Ivangorod, just across the water in Russia.

🇷🇺 In Odessa today, residents gathered to lay flowers at the Monument to the Unknown Sailor.

The site was cordoned off by Ukrainian police and National Guard units, with access strictly controlled. Locals were only allowed through after mandatory ID checks. Those who arrived without identification were turned away by police, sparking occasional confrontations.

By 3 PM, the base of the monument was already blanketed in a thick layer of flowers.
