Cheers to Spring! 2025 Ren Ri Dinner
The seventh day of the first lunar month is traditionally known as 'Ren Rì' (Chinese: 人日; Pinyin: rén rì). Ren Ri literally means 'Human Day'; it is the birthday of all human beings. In celebration of Ren Ri, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple would like to present to you two special ‘Fa Gao’ (Chinese: 发糕 ) with auspicious names: 'Fortune & Longevity' and 'Abundance of Blessings'. Fa Gao is a type of steamed sponge cake and is regarded by the Chinese as a “prosperity" or "lucky" cake during Chinese New Year. May these specially made Fa Gao bring you joy and good health, and may you succeed in all your endeavours in the new year.

本寺择于农历甲辰十一月十一至十二日举办《大阿弥经共修会》为期二天。《大阿弥陀经》这部经文详细描述了阿弥陀佛的功德、极乐净土的特征，以及信仰和修行者如何能够通过信愿行来往生极乐世界。这为所有人提供了一条解脱之路，不论其根性、智慧或福德大小。
经文中详细讲述了阿弥陀佛在因地时所发的四十八大愿，这些愿望展示了阿弥陀佛慈悲广大、愿力深远，誓愿救度一切众生离苦得乐。也描述了极乐世界的无量功德庄严，如无量寿、无量光、净土的七宝池、八功德水、宝树、妙音等，展示了极乐世界的清净美好与殊胜。
阿弥陀佛的愿力不只局限于某些特定的众生，而是普遍地惠及一切有情众生。这体现了佛教中大慈大悲、普度众生的核心精神。所有众生只要具足信心、发愿，并修行念佛等法门，都能得到阿弥陀佛的接引，往生极乐净土。这部经文是净土宗修行者的重要依止经典之一，指导着他们在修行道路上不断精进。南无西方極樂世界阿弥陀佛！（发文：13、12、2024）
