iMac is back on the desk ✨

Samsung ultra wide gaming monitor (32:9 49" Odyssey OLED G9) sure is cool. It’s gorgeous and immersive. OLED with 240Hz is 🔥 Awesome for gaming, that’s what it’s made for, but it doesn’t have enough resolution for work. The text is pixelated. It’s essentially a QHD 1440p 27 inch monitor + more screen area on sides. Or two QHD 16:9 monitors. After Samsung, working on an iMac with a 4.5K 24-inch screen is simply a thrill.

I’m currently looking for a single monitor solution for Mac + gaming PC, but looks like it doesn’t exist yet…

I want 5K/6K 32" OLED 120Hz+. But best options right now are 32" 4K 240Hz OLED and 27" 5K 60Hz. Or Dell newest 40" 5K2K 120Hz 21:9.

32" 4K 240Hz OLED 🤤 Perfect gaming monitor?

This is Samsung Odyssey OLED G8. It’s mine for a couple of weeks. I expect that it’s close to perfect, but I’m worried for the brightness and matte finish.

I’ll let you know how it goes.
