More often than not, this the primary response when Mike Tyson is brought up.

What most fail to realize is that Mike was sexually, physically, and mentally abused as a child. Relentlessly. To the point of being made to smoke crack with his mother and partake in sexual acts with her and whatever John she was with that night, this went on for years.

As an adult, Mike Tyson lived for years with undiagnosed and untreated Bi-Polar Schizophrenia while those around him took advantage of him and used him to make themselves filthy rich.

This is who Mike really is, and has been for years. A man with flaws who is aware of those flaws and does his best to spread what wisdom and faith he can.

This is why I have always been, and will always be a fan of Mike Tyson.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping will welcome Vladimir Putin to China on Thursday for the Russian president’s second visit in less than a year – the latest sign of their growing alignment amid hardening global fault lines as conflict devastates Gaza and Ukraine.

Putin will arrive in China just over a week since entering a new term in office, extending his autocratic rule until 2030 – the result of an election without any true opposition.

His visit, set to take place May 16-17, according to Chinese state media, mirrors Xi’s own state visit to Moscow just over a year ago, where he marked the norm-shattering start of a new term as president – like Putin, after rewriting rules around how long leaders can serve.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken makes surprise visit to Ukraine, will deliver speech Tuesday

Secretary of State Antony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Ukraine on Tuesday to reaffirm US support for the war-torn country. 

The State Department said the top Biden administration diplomat would be meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other key officials during his stop in Kyiv to “discuss battlefield updates, the impact of new U.S. security and economic assistance, long-term security and other commitments, and ongoing work to bolster Ukraine’s economic recovery,” according to the Associated Press. 

Blinken, 62, is also slated to deliver a speech in the Ukrainian capital later Tuesday in which he will tout Ukraine’s “strategic successes” amid Russia’s invasion, a senior US official told the outlet.

DOJ requests judge order Steve Bannon to begin prison sentence

Federal prosecutors on Tuesday requested the judge overseeing ex-Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon's criminal contempt of Congress case to order that he begin his four-month prison sentence, after an appeals court last week upheld his conviction.

Prosecutors said there is no legal basis for Judge Carl Nichols to continue the stay on Bannon serving his sentence after the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals' conclusive ruling that rejected the basis for Bannon's appeal on all grounds.

The government quietly confirmed in a recent court filing the IRS whistleblowers in the Hunter Biden tax case did nothing illegal, pushing back on allegations by the Biden legal team that they violated the law by making protected disclosures to Congress.

Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler originally brought concerns to the House Ways and Means Committee that the Justice Department had provided preferential treatment to Biden during the probe into his alleged tax violations, including by blocking search warrants and limiting the investigators’ pursuit of information related to then-candidate Joe Biden, Hunter Biden's father.

Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden's lawyer, immediately attacked the agents in a letter to the House committee seeking to discredit the whistleblowers, labeling them “disgruntled agents.” Eventually, Hunter Biden sued the IRS over the whistleblowers' disclosures, claiming they unlawfully disclosed his private tax returns.
